Description: The Smith Island Crab Scrape is a distinctly Chesapeake workboat, powered by a small inboard engine, ideally suited for crabbing the waters near Smith and Tangier Islands. A scrape device (dredge with steel frame and mesh netting) is slowly dragged through underwater eelgrass, a favorite crab habitat. Scrape device is hauled on board and the contents are culled. Crabs are separated into compartments (peelers, busters, soft crabs). Crab scrapes are typically 24-32' in length, with deadrise hull, box stern, shallow draft. Most have a canopy to provide shade.

Features: Wooden construction, fully assembled, ready to display. Includes anchor, bitts, cleats, navigation lights, beer keg gas tank, crab compartments, engine box, controls, exhaust pipe, fire extinguisher, battery box with cables, tiller steering stick, rope steering, transmission cover, stern seat, side washboard culling areas, radio box, canopy with uprights, prop and rudder. An accurate miniature scrape device with netting and line is also included. Model also includes a set of miniature crabs! Boat is white, with green interior and copper/red bottom paint. Wooden stand is black.

Dimensions: 24.00” long X 8.25” wide X 9.75” high, when mounted on stand. Model is approx. 1:12 scale. Weight (boat and stand), 3 lbs. Boat is removable from stand.
